October 4, 2018If you are not a vegan, at least your feet can be now: The PUMA x SHANTELL MARTIN Muse Maia was awarded the Vegan Fashion Award by PETA Germany!
The Muse Maia is part of a collection that PUMA desigend in collaboration with British artist Shantell Martin. In the collection, bright colors meet premium materials.
So premium, that the Muse Maia won the award in the category “best sportswear”. “The unusual design and the product story convinced us,” PETA Germany said.
This year, they have awarded the Vegan Fashion Award for the sixth time. The award honors designers and fashion companies for their animal-friendly offer and innovative products that are not made of animal-based materials, but still stylish.
There are no limits to innovation when it comes to sustainability: instead of animal-based materials, companies and manufacturers can use leather from apples and mushrooms, microfibre velor made from recycled PET bottles or cork and organic cotton.
The winners of the 'Vegan Fashion Award 2018' impress with their ideas to make the fashion world not only animal-friendly, but also environmentally friendly and resource-saving. We thank you for your forward-looking work.
PUMA and the other winners have proven that it is possible to make trendy must-haves in a fair and sustainable way without using animal materials in a sustainable and fair manufacturing process.
