January 27, 2023PUMA China Teams Up With STAFFONLY and MONOPOLY For Their New Playful Collection
January 27, 2023Players assemble! Create your own stories with the new PUMA x STAFFONLY x MONOPOLY collaboration. The three parties joined forces for a new abstract, classic and retro collection based on the beloved board game MONOPOLY. PUMA China launched the concept space [Game Info Center] with elaborate aesthetics to experience the world of MONOPOLY.
Chinese designer brand STAFFONLY and classic board game MONOPOLY came together with PUMA to create a collection inspired by the theme “Game Makes Good Stories, Create Your Own Story”. PUMA and STAFFONLY were placed into the world of MONOPOLY, combining the nearly 90 years of MONOPOLY’s history with STAFFONLY’s experimental aesthetic and PUMA’s classic one. To celebrate the launch of the collection, a pop up event concept space [Game Info Centre] was created at the historical fashion landmark hAo mArket in Shanghai, from January 7th-15th.
PUMA x STAFFONLY x MONOPOLY
The collaboration mixes the unconventional detail arrangement style of STAFFONLY and classic design of PUMA with the retro aesthetics of MONOPOLY. Items from MONOPOLY such as dice, the chance card and cartoon image of Mr Monopoly can be seen in the playful collaboration.
The collection includes products such as jackets, hoodies, dresses and shirts, as well as accessories like caps and shoulder bags. It also includes three classic PUMA shoes: CLYDE, VELOPHASIS and DINARA.
Dive Into the World of MONOPOLY
The campaign launch was held at the hAo mArket, a historical fashion landmark in Shanghai. A vintage atmosphere from the 1970s was created in the building, with MONOPOLY-themed decorations such as a giant Mr Monopoly installation in the centre of the outside garden, giant dices and a vault. The new collection was on display at the venue and in an immersive runway show with multi-dimensional performances.
The event turned the 2D board game into a 3D space where consumers could step inside the game’s universe.
There were different activations for consumers to take part in. Not only could consumers play a special customised MONOPOLY game, they could also unlock surprises by taking part in PUMA’s pop-up installation with different interactions. They could also complete tasks to win exclusive gifts, including a special edition MONOPOLY, and on entry to the event received a stamp collecting passport where they could gain stamps by engaging in interactions and sharing posts on social media.
