Last week, our PUMAS at Herzo HQ had the chance to go on a shopping spree for a good cause: the super summer sample sale, organized by CHARITY CAT, took place! Around 1,000 employees joined in on a charitable shopping trip where around 10.000 pieces of sample garments awaited and over 70.000 € in donations have been collected. Read on for all the infos on that very special event!

CHARITY CAT is our charitable non-profit organization led by PUMA employees.

They strive to provide support to anyone or anything in need, anywhere in the world, until no further help is required. Our dedicated PUMAs offer their free time to support charitable organizations, building a better life for those less fortunate.

During last weeks sample sale, organized by CHARITY CAT, over 10,000 pieces of garments were collected and made available for purchase in exchange for donations. The event attracted the participation of around 1,000 passionate PUMAs, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from our PUMAFam, an incredible amount of over 70,000 € was raised through the sample sale. This remarkable achievement will fuel CHARITY CAT’s efforts to support various projects and organizations, ranging from local initiatives to those as far-reaching as Columbia, Peru, and Haiti.

Our Rudolf-Dassler-Hall transformed into a hub of excitement and compassion as 80 PUMA employees from across different departments and roles volunteered their time to set up and dismantle the event. This collaborative effort involved interns, dual students, apprentices, as well as employees in higher positions, who truly embodied the spirit of FOREVER.BETTER.

The sample sale not only benefits CHARITY CAT’s cause but also brings value to our business units and product-related departments. By donating samples for the sale, they free up space in their offices, give our cool PUMA apparel and shoes a second life and ensure that no garments go to waste or are needlessly destroyed.

What’s more, the unsold items from the sale find new homes within our PUMA family. They are either sent to our other PUMA offices, like Salzburg, for their own sample sales, or are donated to various organizations that can put them to good use. This year, the Prague Tafel came to collect remaining samples.

We couldn’t be prouder of our PUMA`s dedication, compassion, and commitment to making a positive impact through their activities like this sample sale!

Their collective efforts are making a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals and communities around the world, living the premise that there is only one forever, so let’s make it better for everyone 🤝🤝!
