REWRITING WHAT´S POSSIBLE

The previous record of 2.09 meters, set by Stefka Kostadinova of Bulgaria in 1987, had remained unchallenged for 37 years until Yaroslava’s historic jump on the weekend. The Ukrainian world champion, approached the event with a quiet confidence, hinting at her readiness to make history.

Yaroslava’s journey to the top was not without its challenges. Facing off against world indoor champion Nicola Olyaslagers, both athletes cleared 2.01 meters on their second attempts. However, it was Yaroslava who persevered, overcoming the 2.03-meter mark that Nicola Olyaslagers could not, securing her victory.

With the win in hand, our PUMA athlete pushed the boundaries further, setting a new Ukrainian record by clearing 2.07 meters. But she wasn’t done yet. The bar was raised to a monumental 2.10 meters, and with the world watching, Yaroslava soared over it on her first attempt, etching her name into the annals of athletic history.

As the world looks ahead to the upcoming Summer Games, Yaroslava’s record-breaking leap positions her as a strong contender for the gold medal. Her achievement is a beacon of inspiration, proving that with determination and support, athletes can overcome any obstacle and reach unimaginable heights. Or as Yaroslava put it after the competition: “Finally I signed Ukraine to the history of world athletics.

From the entire PUMA family, congratulations on this incredible performance, Yaroslava!

FOREVER. FASTER.

FOREVER. HIGHER.
