Attention, handball enthusiasts! Excitement is building as the Men’s Handball Euro 2024 kicks off in Germany from January 10 to 28! For the first time, the tournament takes place in Germany, spanning across six cities – Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Mannheim, and Munich. Get ready, for exhilarating weeks as 24 nations battle it out over 17 competition days, featuring a whopping 65 matches!

PUMA Federations in Action

Our three PUMA teams – Germany, Denmark, and the Czech Republic – lace up their PUMAs to showcase their talent on the court.

Germany:

The top-ranked Germany national handball team, a powerhouse in the sport, presents an impressive record with three World Championships and two European Championships. Regarded as the birthplace of handball, Germany’s golden era peaked in 2004 with a European Championship title and a runner-up finish at the Athens Olympics.

Denmark:

Ranked third globally, the Denmark men’s national handball team secured their dominance with three consecutive World Championship titles in 2019, 2021, and 2023. Holding the fourth-highest number of European Championship medals, including two golds (2008, 2012), Denmark enters the Euro as the favorite after their recent world championship triumph.

Czech Republic:

The Czech Republic national handball team, with historical success in the mid-1960s, achieved a notable sixth place at the 1996 European Championship. While facing challenges in recent years, the team has a rich legacy from before the country’s independence in 1993, when Czechoslovakia earned five World Championship medals and qualified for every World Championship between 1954 and 1993. Currently Czechia is ranked number 18 in the world ranking.

PUMA Athletes on the Court

Around 50 individual PUMA athletes from Denmark, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, Spain and Norway will bring their A-game to the tournament. We are looking forward to seeing their skill and determination on the courts!
