Marking a historic moment for motorsport fashion, the world’s fastest sports brand, (PUMA) meets the world’s fastest sport (Formula 1®) to proudly unveil an inaugural collection for Spring/Summer 2024. The PUMA x Formula 1® series represents a seamless blend of athletic excellence and cutting-edge speed, encapsulating the vibrant spirit of Formula 1® within PUMA heritage pieces. Inspired by this high-speed innovation we’ve styled two looks with items from the collection.

The Shoes

Effortlessly combining style and performance, this team-up includes multiple footwear options; today’s looks are styled with the Trinity and the CA Pro. The Trinity connects to PUMA’s Futro aesthetic by reinterpreting motorsport heritage inspiration with a contemporary flair. Its upper boasts a mesh foundation with stitched-on overlays of leather and synthetic materials, creating a sturdy yet stylish appearance. Elevating the design, the midsole features angular accents and painted elements, establishing itself as the centerpiece, while the full rubber outsole adds durability. Then the CA Pro feels distinctly Californian, bringing motorsport to the streets with a simply classic silhouette coupled with F1® shading and detailing.

The Outfit(s)

This first full collaboration between the two brands offers an elevated approach to motorsport fashion with synergistic pieces that set a stylistic standard in the high-speed world of the sport. Contemporary while still acknowledging the cornerstone of automotive heritage, pieces have key details like race suit patches, brand icons, logo-driven designs and elegantly re-worked garage workwear.   

The first look goes full on with Formula 1® merchandise ─ statement track pants on the bottom sensibly couple sport with street, prominently displaying co-branded logos alongside track-inspired contouring and flashy pops of racer red. Above is the comfy hoodie in French terry fabric with a giant F1® blazing across the chest. A multi-coloured track jacket zips up the look for the super fan, making it a perfect fit for the street or race track. 

The second look takes the F1® spirit and makes it for the ladies. A matching motorsport tee made from jersey fabric with that familiar logo, slightly cropped and with fitted tailoring, pairs perfectly with the rugged yet elegant garage workwear-inspired jacket. This piece can be worn baggy and boxy to play with the shapes evoked by other outfit elements and bring in a balancing effect. Below all that comes a draped midi skirt in a rich burgundy red. The crepe texture, ruched detailing, asymmetric hem and accompanying colour perfectly support the F1® merch without drawing too much attention away from the main event. 

The Accessories

Both style approaches go with casually cool and versatile accessories that fit perfectly on the race track, in the stands, at home or in the street. A trucker hat from the collection shows off a signature mesh black, curved visor and snapback closure, plus sporty patches on the front to express your inner gearhead. A contemporary all-black watch elevates and brings a little luxe, while a canvas and leather belt bag in matching red and black finishes off the first look. 

The second outfit layers up: a chic black scarf with plissé effect helps tie one’s hair back to keep it from blowing in the wind on the rack track, and vibe-matches a classy black leather purse which boasts a rounded silhouette with a shiny gold-toned circular handle. An elegant black and gold watch shines from one wrist, while an edgy red leather with gold studs glints from the other. Black and gold medium hoops hang from the ears, and slim black sunglasses are practical (eye protection) and fashionable (on trend, in terms of style and design). Finally, a black leather and gold belt cinches at the waist, literally tying it all together.
