In shape during lockdown

After two months of strict COVID-19 control measures, Shanghai’s lockdown can be slowly and cautiously relaxed. Due to a new wave of cases, people in China have been going through various phases of control measures since the beginning of March. By the end of April, over 350 million people in various provinces were in some form of lockdown. In Shanghai, where our PUMA China headquarter is located, the situation has escalated to a city-wide lockdown since the beginning of April – a very challenging situation for our colleagues in Shanghai! Read the article to learn more about the measures taken by our local management & P&O in order to keep our PUMA Fam in Shanghai healthy and fit.

LOCKDOWN CONSEQUENCES

During the lockdown, the strict measures have overloaded the delivery system. As a result, it has even become difficult to get daily necessities. Seeing that things were getting complicated, PUMA China’s top management and the P&O team took immediate action to support our colleagues. Supplies from various sources were organised and a delivery to all employees’ homes were arranged. Which in the beginning seemed like an impossible mission given the strict regulations, became a reality. Some colleagues described the care package as a “lifesaver” and a great relief for the trapped staff. On 24 April, a secound care package was distributed to all employees again to encourage them to survive the hardships. Our creative PUMA employees couldn’t help and took photos to capture the moment. FITNESS

From the end of March, the P&O team also organised online workshops for stress and emotion management, a live fitness class and provided digital book gift cards for all staff. An attempt to help cope better with this unusual situation.
