September 7, 2023Together with the Instituto Neymar Jr., a community center founded by our PUMA Athlete Neymar Jr., we have launched a special collection to support underprivileged youth in his old Praia Grande neighbourhood, near Santos. A collaboration which is not just about fashion and football; but about giving back to the community.
For this unique collection, we worked with children from the Instituto to create graphics inspired by the Brazilian idol and celebrate Neymar Jr. for giving back to the community that shaped him. They were given the creative freedom to draw what “Neymar means to them” and how he has inspired them throughout their journey. These heartfelt drawings became the basis for the graphics featured in our special edition collection and the FUTURE INJR football boot.
"The Institute is very special to me. Since its inauguration in 2014, we have been able to support underprivileged children and their families through sports, education, and healthcare. The Instituto is a place where kids can go after school to learn extra skills that will help shape their future. I am very proud of the team behind this amazing place and the impact we have had on the community, reaching over 10 thousand people. Being able to work with some of the kids on a collection was a beautiful moment for me, and I hope to make them proud when I step onto the pitch wearing the boots, they designed for me"
The children who contributed their artwork are not only featured as the stars of this campaign but are also the heart and soul of this collection. From their initial drawings to the final product launch, it took us around 18 months to bring the collection to life. Their names will be proudly displayed on the insole of the Football boots and the back neck sign-off on the collection’s t-shirt, a testament to their creativity and dedication.
👟 The FUTURE INJR football boot is designed to lock down the foot securely, ensuring a snug and supportive fit, whether the player prefers laces or not. The 3D textures at key contact zones enhance ball grip and control, while the outsole provides stability, agility, and traction on the field.
👚🩳 The Neymar Jr. Instituto Collection offers pieces designed by children from the Instituto Neymar Jr. like training tops, pants, training jerseys, shorts, hoodies, cotton tees, backpacks, baseball caps, shin guards, and footballs, which are available in both kids and adult sizes.
