Attracting over 250 fans with queues forming as early as 8AM before the store opened, this event marked a fantastic celebration of sports, local culture, and the vibrant energy of the F1 season with PUMA Singapore.

Pickle Pong Showdown with Footballer Hassan Sunny

One of the evening’s main highlights was the Pickle Pong Challenge, where George Russell’s competitive nature took centre stage. Known for his love for paddle ball, Russell took on PUMA’s playful spin of pickleball, wielding an eclectic mix of rackets – from frying pans to mosquito swatters – on a ping pong table. He went head-to-head with local football star Hassan Sunny in a spirited match that showcased sportsmanship at its best.

Russell fully embraced Singapore’s local culture through a series of interactive challenges. From a nostalgic game of 5 Stones with emcee Sonia Chew, a Chopstick Challenge that tested his dexterity skills, a fun matching game with Singapore’s famous attractions mapped around the F1 racetrack, to an iconic “Chope” Challenge that paid tribute to Singapore’s “chope culture” where you can place any belonging including tissue packets on a food court table to reserve your spot. Russell’s infectious enthusiasm sparked smiles and laughter, highlighting his genuine connection with the local crowd.

Exclusive Fan Meet & Greet

The evening culminated in a much-anticipated fan meet and greet, where 30 lucky fans could meet George Russell up close, snap photos, and take home PUMA x Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 photo cards with his autograph.
