of the Year!

PUMA athlete and Charlotte Hornets player LaMelo Ball has taken the NBA by storm this year as a rookie. The star has been crowned now with a very special trophy – LaMelo is NBA Rookie of the Year! The 19-year-old received 84 first-place votes and earned 465 total points from a global panel of 99 sportswriters and broadcasters.

PUMA is thrilled to congratulate LaMelo Ball for being this year’s recipient of the Eddie Gottlieb Trophy as the 2020-21 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year. LaMelo had a remarkable debut season leading all rookies in assists and steals and ranking second in points and rebounds. His dynamic skills and style, standout performance and perseverance to overcome his injury truly makes him one of one.
