April 8, 2024What a great way to celebrate her PUMA debut! One of our newest athletes, Vivian Cheruiyot, finished third overall at the Paris Marathon last Sunday. 🇫🇷 Her time is also impressive. With a time of 2:21:46 for the 42.195 km (26 mi 385 yd), it was the fastest marathon ever run by a PUMA athlete. It was also her first marathon in four years.
Her momentous career began in the early 2000s as a junior. Vivian has claimed victory at the Beijing World Championship in the 10,000m, gold in the 5,000m at the Rio Olympics, and victory at the 2018 London Marathon. After taking some time to raise her two children, Vivian returned to racing this past weekend at the 2024 Paris Marathon and proudly represented PUMA for the first time in her career. Instantly she showcased her immense talent. Vivian remained patient in the lead group and got rewarded with a terrific 3rd place finish.
Check out her running style and … this outfit 😍:
