February 16, 2024PUMA Athletes Set the Stage at the 2024 US Olympic Trials
February 16, 2024PUMA athletes dominated the 2024 US Olympic Trials in Orlando, Florida. With eight of our athletes competing in Orlando, it was a great milestone for PUMA Running with a strong representation at a highly competitive marathon race with Olympic selection on the line.
On race day, PUMA athletes would make their presence known right from the start and be a constant fixture at the front end of the race until the very end.
In her marathon debut, Fiona O’Keeffe of the PUMA Elite Team in Chapel Hill, NC would storm to the finish line in first place after a decisive move at mile 20 to break the rest of the field.
Fiona would win the 2024 US Olympic Marathon Trials in 2:22:10, which was an Olympic Trials record, fastest debut in the marathon by an American woman, and the fastest ever marathon by a PUMA female athlete.
Running to third place and securing the final spot on the US Olympic Marathon team, Dakotah Lindwurm, crossed the line 2:25:31 to make it a 1-3 punch for PUMA Running.
Rounding out the Top 10 in this highly competitive race, Annie Frisbie and training partner of Lindwurm took 10th overall in 2:27:56.
The whole PUMAFAM is proud of you, Fiona, Dakotah & Annie!
