Each morning, roosters around the world welcome the morning sun. On 28th January, the feathered animal will also greet the Chinese New Year 2017, the Year of the Rooster. To mark the “Spring Festival” celebrations, the longest and most important holiday in many Asian countries, we’ve come up with a special iteration of our Clyde sneaker that takes inspiration from the bird.

This special PUMA Clyde CNY – one of our classic styles that was developed in 1973 when basketball star Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier asked for a custom-made pair of the PUMA Suede – features premium black leather on the upper and a reflective Formstripe element on the side, reminiscent of a rooster’s unique feathers.

Further representing the cycles of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the sneaker features gold printed symbolic Mandarin characters on the heel. It is completed with a golden print and deboss detailing on the leather. This new collectible edition of the Clyde launches on 20th January in PUMA stores, PUMA.com and selected retailers worldwide.
