PUMA ITALY RECEIVES INDEPENDENT CERTIFICATION FPI FAIR PAY INNOVATION LAB

October 23, 2024

PUMA has been named “Universal Fair Pay Developer” in Italy, certified by FPI Fair Pay Innovation Lab. Italy now is the fifth PUMA location to join the rank of certified locations that promote pay equity for all our employees, alongside PUMA Germany, PUMA Spain, PUMA Sweden and PUMA Middle East. Fair Pay is a strategic goal for us at PUMA, and the certification recognises our commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity.

“At PUMA, we consider our team and every individual as the foundation of our success. Equality and equity are integral to our mission. This prestigious Universal Fair Pay Developer certification recognizes our commitment to these values, validates our ongoing initiatives, and inspires us to continue fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee feels valued. By addressing pay disparities and promoting equity, we aim to set a benchmark in the industry and contribute to a broader movement towards social justice.” Esteve Planas, Managing Director of PUMA Southern Europe

HOW IT IS DONE

To calculate if there is a pay gap, salary differences are assessed based on managerial responsibility, tenure in the role, type of employment, and job evaluation in terms of required skills and impact on the organization in the country of analysis. In order to certify equality in its remuneration policy, PUMA Italy assessed the salaries for each role in a gender-neutral manner, focusing exclusively on the characteristics of the job to be performed rather than the individual characteristics of the employee. This allowed for a standardised and transparent process for the definition of remuneration and salary increases.
