Every two months, PUMA Korea employees go to PUMA sponsored sports teams and learn from the athletes. In April, they joined the running crew RUN PUMA FAM! The running crew started in Korea in 2024 and was founded by the performance marketing team for PUMA Running customers. The name RUN PUMA FAM highlights the family-like bond of PUMA runners.

RUN PUMA FAM is a top running crew that combines online and offline activities. It has 3 main groups: Regular Crew, Open Run Crew, and Virtual Crew.

THE REGULAR CREW

Customers who have purchased the ‘Velocity Nitro 3’ package become members of the Regular Crew. They can register beforehand and take free running classes with experts at the shops for 10 weeks. The shops also offer various events such as weekly photo sessions and special discount offers to keep the runners. The Crew events began in March, with 100 runners from 5 shops in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Busan, the three main regions, running together.

THE OPEN RUN CREW

The Open Run Crew is for local runners who can’t or don’t want to commit to 10-week running classes. They can join the Regular Crew’s normal classes once at a time. Open Run Crews mingle with Regular Crews and learn more about their experiences and their PUMA products.

THE VIRTUAL MISSIONS CREW

The Virtual Crew is an online event where people can join RUN PUMA FAM virtually. Using the popular ‘RUNABLE’ app in Korea, participants can take part in monthly missions. The missions challenge the runners to keep running and are named ‘Miracle Morning Running’ or ‘Running 100KM total per month’. Participants can win PUMA running accessories if they complete the missions. Each month, the crew has 500 spots and they have always been full in 10 minutes since March. By now, they have produced over 600 organic virals, and the virtual missions will continue monthly until October.

THE PUMA EXPERIENCE

On their visit, our PUMAs enhanced their running techniques with the help of professional coaches and completed a 5km route around Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Palace. The scenic course and perfect weather made for an unforgettable experience, inspiring future team runs!
