What exactly is the new PUMA Kit Factory (2.0) and how does it facilitate jersey customisation?

With the PUMA KIT Factory, we’ve teamed up with our external partners at 270 Degrees and Proud Nerds as well our internal Global Business Solution Team to create a digital tool that allows users to unleash their inner designer. Individuals, clubs and retailers can design jerseys according to their preferences and make it their own by choosing from a variety of graphics and a wide range of colors to design their individual PUMA product.

Additionally, club and sponsor logos can be easily uploaded and visualized on products. All according to the motto: your club, your colors. The jersey is displayed using a powerful 3D configurator, allowing users to see changes and designs immediately to find the perfect look for their personal product.

Who is the PUMA Kit Factory 2.0 designed for?

The PKF caters to two distinct user groups. On one front, it empowers end consumers to craft their own unique jerseys alongside PUMA. On the flip side, we’ve witnessed football clubs sponsored by PUMA designing jerseys for professional matches, proudly showcased on the grand stage. Yet, we extend a warm welcome to anyone eager to unleash their creativity with the PUMA Kit Factory.

You launched the first version of the PUMA Kit Factory in 2021, now we see a relaunch of the PUMA Kit Factory 2.0 – What range of features can users expect now?

The upgraded PKF includes several new features. Firstly, as mentioned above, designs for handball jerseys are now possible. Additionally, you can also share your outfits with friends and request orders from a team sports specialist of your choice. Furthermore, there are new graphics and an updated color collection. But there’s more to come. In the future, more sports such as basketball, volleyball, or rugby can be added. Even more product types, such as tees, hoodies or jackets are in the pipeline to be integrated to provide consumers with the widest possible range of customisation options.

The relaunch of the PUMA Kit Factory is the start of digitizing even more within the Teamsport Service Tools – what’s more to come?

In the next phases, the focus will be on unifying further service tools, which are predominantly used in the Teamsport Licensed area to equip professional clubs with PUMA products. Our aim is to enhance the service for product management, design, merchandising and sales. Also here, products are to be illustrated in detail with the assistance of our powerful 3D configurator.

In addition to that, we are also working intensively on digitising the teamwear business, especially when it comes to the teamwear catalog which is currently very paper driven.

Digitising the teamwear catalog will make it significantly more convenient for retailers and clubs to find the right product assortment for their own club and make PUMA their brand of choice

What’s next for PKF and Teamsport?

Our visions for the future are bold and extend to the year 2026. Up next, we have the integration of the Blank and Quick Asset programs, which are tools designed for our internal sales/merch teams to offer more personalised and better service levels to our partner clubs. With the integration, they’ll be able to create sportstyle and matchwear articles like tees, hoodies, jackets, etc. to be worn by clubs such as Parma, Al Hilal, Braga FC, SpVgg Greuther Fürth, just to name a few.

Stay tuned, as we’ll keep you updated on all developments right here and follow Teamsport One-Stop-Shop Community HUB for the latest updates!
