September 23, 2024PUMA officially celebrated the launch of its largest Asia Store, the PUMA Sunway Flagship Store on September 7 at Sunway Pyramid Mall in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Spanning 12,000 square feet, the store promises an unforgettable shopping journey that beautifully blends style, innovation, and a touch of local Malaysian flair.
A Star-Studded Ensemble
High-profile celebrities, local personalities, media friends and fans alike came together to celebrate the opening of PUMA’s Sunway Pyramid Flagship store. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the appearance of PUMA Thailand’s ambassadors Metawin “Win” Opas-iamkajorn and Tontawan “Tu” Tantivejakul, alongside Malaysia’s very own Meerqeen and Priscilla Abby. Driven by the excitement around our celebrity ambassadors and high-profile influencers, huge groups of fans were already camping out in front of the store since early morning. The air crackled with energy as PUMA’s ambassadors dazzled the huge crowd upon their arrival, making the celebration an exhilarating spectacle.
Beyond star power, the grand opening was a full celebration of PUMA’s dynamic spirit where high-energy performances from breakdancers and athletes brought the brand’s “Forever. Faster.” ethos to life. Customers were invited to explore PUMA’s iconic collections, including exclusive Select collaboration drops, Sportstyle, and the latest performance gear for training, running, football, basketball, and more.
More Than a Spectacular Shopping Experience
With the official grand opening, customers were invited to experience PUMA like never before. Walk in through the impressive giant LED overhead entrance to be greeted by an expansive mural featuring a wooden sculpture of the Kuala Lumpur map, complete with a Run Club QR code for running enthusiasts.
The store features cutting-edge innovations such as the AI Feet Scanner for precise footwear recommendations, a state-of-the-art customisation area with heat press vinyl, local artwork, badges, pins, and embroidery stations, and a dedicated Running Education Zone with interactive displays that showcase the technology and innovation behind PUMA’s key products.
Additional highlights include the High Angle Photobooth and the PUMA Den, where visitors can dive into an ultimate photoshoot experience and win exciting gifts by sharing their PUMA moments on social media.
A Commitment to Giving Back to the Community
In the spirit of #ForeverBersama and Malaysia Day celebrated nationally on September 16, the grand opening introduced the PUMAthon – an interactive 3D running track within the PUMA Sunway Pyramid Flagship Store. For every 100-metre run, PUMA will donate RM10 to Care2Run, a non-profit dedicated to empowering differently-abled youth and underserved communities through adaptive sports programmes.
Throughout September, PUMA invites everyone to join the PUMAthon challenge. Participants can track their times on a live leaderboard, and the fastest runner at the end of the campaign will win a brand-new pair of PUMA Deviate Nitro Elite 3, along with other exciting PUMA Run prizes. Embracing the essence of #ForeverBersama, which translates to “Forever Together,” this initiative highlights PUMA’s dedication to community growth and inclusivity while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
