PUMA Malaysia Lends a Helping Hand in Food Distribution Programme at HOPE Worldwide Malaysia
February 9, 2023PUMA Malaysia Lends a Helping Hand in Food Distribution Programme at HOPE Worldwide Malaysia
February 9, 2023Since 2018, our PUMAs in Malaysia have been volunteering at the Sentul Free Clinic of HOPE. As part of Lunar New Year this year, employees helped distribute food and festive essentials to families in need. Lunar New Year celebrates family and good fortune in the New Year and this year, PUMA Malaysia spent time helping others.
PUMA Malaysia has been involved in this community engagement activity for five years, including during the pandemic years. This year, employees volunteered at the Sentul Free Clinic of HOPE for a food distribution event. The volunteers helped set up and take down tents, run the registration table, package food and help the elderly carry the heavy food packages to their car or the bus station. The food packages included rice, noodles, oil, flour, canned foods and mandarine oranges. In total, 170 families in need were given supplies!
PUMA Malaysia decided to support this cause because of the organisation’s determination to help all races despite their gender and age, and therefore standing for inclusion and diversity.
I'm happy that our people@puma are always willing to involve in activities like this -> doing good for the people in need. I believe that sustainability is not only doing less harm but is also about doing more good.
