PEACE, TIM!

Tim Lobinger was Germany’s most recognisable pole vaulter and became the World and European indoor champion in this discipline. Now he passed away way too early, at the age of 50 due to severe illness. We are honored that Tim was part of the PUMA family from 2001 to 2008.

Tim was one of the best pole vaulters in Germany. He achieved his greatest successes indoors. He became World Champion in Birmingham in 2003 and European Champion in Valencia in 1998. He also won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Championships in Moscow. Outdoors, he won bronze at the 2002 European Championships in Munich and silver at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg. He was also German champion 15 times (9 times outdoors, 6 times indoors).

Tim was the first German pole vaulter to clear 6 meters.

Rest in peace, Tim! Our thoughts are with his family.
