PUMA Oceania wins two DRUM Asia Pacific Awards

June 19, 2024

PUMA Oceania’s marketing maestros recently won not one, but two prestigious awards. The winning campaign features the 1975 Australian and New Zealand women’s soccer players – the OG’s, the pioneers who defied the odds to pursue their dreams in women’s soccer half a century ago. The team won the award in two categories: Best PR Campaign and Best Sports Marketing Campaign.

 

🏆 Best PR Campaign: The PUMA Oceania crew orchestrated a symphony of nostalgia and admiration. The campaign recognised and celebrated these trailblazing athletes as they fought against the odds to play the sport they loved for their countries almost 50 years ago. We acknowledged their skill, passion and love of the game and brought them back together almost 50 years later for a much anticipated rematch on Cockatoo island, in Sydney during the Women’s World Cup in 2023.

🏆 Best Sports Marketing Campaign: The global and local PUMA teams worked together to highlight and celebrate the journey that these women have been on for the love of their sport, and the support that they bring to the future generations of athletes.
