Spreading over 2.220 square feet, PUMA’s first flagship store in Dhaka, Bangladesh is also the largest full price store in the country across global brands and the first entry by any international brand into the Bangladeshi market.

It is a pleasure to open our first store in Bangladesh. The store is a great brand statement for us in the heart of the capital city of Dhaka. The most heartening thing is the excitement around the store opening. The response we are getting is far beyond expectations. The economy in Bangladesh is going in the right direction and sport is getting more and more popular. We will continue to focus and expand in the market.
DBL Group, which manufactures and distributes integrated textile and apparel in Bangladesh, has brought PUMA in as the franchise partner with the vision to provide Bangladeshi people with an international sportswear brand. “We are incredibly proud to open the first PUMA brand store in Bangladesh at this iconic location. We are looking at expanding our foot print in the region and what better way than launching our very own flagship store. Through our iconic flagship store we aim to bring the best PUMA experience and product to our consumers,” M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director of DBL Group.
With the opening of the store, PUMA aims to promote the growth of sport in Bangladesh, which has a rapidly growing sporting culture. “It’s exciting to see a globally leading sportswear brand like Puma come into Bangladesh. Such news is motivating for professional athletes like me and sports enthusiasts across our country,” said Bangladeshi cricketer Mushfiqur Rahim according to the Dhaka tribune.
He joined the launch event together with some of his teammates, the star cricketers of the Bangladesh Cricket Team: Mahmudullah Riyad, Sabbir Rahman, Imrul Kayes, Abu Hider Rony and Liton Kumar Das.
In the future, PUMA aims to expand its presence in Bangladesh with more outlets catering to the needs of the sports enthusiasts in Bangladesh.
