July 21, 2023PUMA Signs St.Lucian Track Star Julien Alfred
July 21, 2023Welcome to the PUMA Fam, Julien! 22 year old Julien Alfred is a track star on the rise as the first woman in NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) history to break the seven second barrier at 60 metres. In doing so, she also secured her spot as the all-time second fastest indoor sprinter at both 60 and 200 metres.
Julien joins the PUMA Fam ahead of this week’s Diamond League in Monaco, wearing our evoSPEED TOKYO NITRO track and field spikes. A seven-time NCAA Champion, undefeated in the 100 metres during the 2022 NCAA season, 100m silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022 and gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador earlier this month, Julien’s track record is far from completed.
“PUMA has such legendary status in athletics, so the decision to join their family was an easy one. I feel that together we can achieve great things on and off the track.”
– Julien Alfred
“Julien is an incredible athlete, one we believe will continue to make history on the track. She is the true embodiment of Forever Faster and our ambition to be the fastest brand on the planet – we’re thrilled to have her join the PUMA family.”
– Pascal Rolling, Head of Sports Marketing at PUMA
