My favourite book is ‘The seven habits of highly effective people’ by Steven R. Covey. It appeared in my library ten years ago and I simply love it. From its name, you get an idea that it is about selfdevelopment. Unlike similar literature, this book does not sell you any quick fixes to become better, stronger, smarter… It challenges YOUR WAY of seeing and living things. Give it a try 🙂
I recently read David Sedaris’s ‘Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls’. Sedaris is one of my favourite authors, along with Augusten Burroughs. They’re super weird, ridiculous and hilarious authors who write stories about their lives. I appreciate how they tackle stories about their dysfunctional families and sometimes tragic pasts with honesty and humor. It’s refreshing.

My favourite book, which exists only in German, is called ‘Die Schicksalsgesetze – Spielregeln fürs Leben’ by Rüdiger Dahlke. It is one of those books that finds you and not the other way around and is actually a good introduction to hermetic philosophy. And since these kind of books are not an easy read, I have a huge collection of Jack Reacher on my shelf as well 😉

The most recent book I’ve read was ‘The Martian’ by Andy Weir. It’s about an astronaut stranded on Mars. The whole book is a series of puzzles to solve, which I loved. It keeps you engaged by intertwining scientific problem solving with sarcastic humor. All in all, a fun read!
